A land of vibrant and royal heritage, Jaipur is the capital of the state of Rajasthan, situated in north-west India. Jaipur thrives as a center of exquisite artisanal crafts and the bustling garment and textile industry. And this is where, EarthWise Linen was conceptualised.
Meet Our Founder
EarthWise Linen, founded by Ria Kasliwal, draws inspiration from Jaipur's rich cultural heritage. Raised amidst the captivating art of block printing, passed down through generations of women in her family, Ria developed a deep appreciation for tradition and craftsmanship. Drawing from her family's extensive experience in the bed and hospitality linen manufacturing sector, which primarily centered around microfiber materials, Ria became acutely aware of the ecological footprint associated with conventional textile production. Driven by a desire to forge a more environmentally conscious path, Ria founded EarthWise Linen, a venture that epitomizes her ethos of sustainability and reverence for tradition. As part of our mission, a portion of our proceeds is allocated to subsidize sustainable linen production, utilizing recycled fibers to foster widespread adoption of eco-friendly textiles. EarthWise Linen endeavors to weave together the threads of sustainability and tradition, crafting a narrative that honors the city of Jaipur, celebrates its artisans, and champions a more sustainable future for generations to come.
As a current MPhil student in Public Policy at the University of Cambridge, Ria showcased her venture, EarthWise Linen, at the prestigious Female Founder's Prize Business Challenge hosted by Lucy Cavendish College.
